28 Feb GRiND: HUSTLE HARD!

Here I am, on my grind. I am alert, in the moment, in my element, in tune, when I feel it. Something is messing with my chi.

I turn to find my son watching in silence, paying full attention to my every move, totally immersed in what I am doing. Although I did not say anything to him, I fully acknowledged his presence. I continued to GRiND, now more diligently. I now have a special audience that I MUST CAPTIVATE, STIMULATE and MOTIVATE. A smile emerged on my face as I had a flashback to my childhood.

When I was 5 years old, I had my creative fire lit by my cousin Tony. My cousin could draw his ass off! I watched Tony and he never put forth a “half-ass” effort. He was always “in the zone” when he took to his craft. So I sit here thinking, if I did not see him, would I be where I am right now? Would I have started drawing? Regardless I knew at a very young age that graphics in any way, shape or form is what I wanted to do all the time.

I am truly blessed to be smart enough to realize that I can expose my children to opportunities I did not have when I was growing up. Amazingly I can do this by exposing them to MY GRIND. The more I think about my children, they produce more fire in me to HUSTLE HARDER. If they see me going after exactly what I want, by being their example, they will see that we are only limited by what we allow ourselves to be limited by.

Whether you are doing your own thing, a job or something you don’t love, do it to your best ability. GRIND-HUSTLE HARD! Put forth your best effort and take a look around. You never know who might be watching you. It could be your child, friend or foe. You do not know whose creative spark you my light. You never know how YOU could affect an entire lifetime let alone a single moment.
